“Global Wind Day” Celebrated in Turkey within the scope of ICCI 2011

ICCI 2011 this year added a new first to its activities and hosted the Global Wind Day organized for the first time in Turkey.

Global Wind Day first organized in Europe in the year 2007 by the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and which is celebrated worldwide on June 15 all over the world was celebrated in Turkey for the first time with the activities organized within the scope of ICCI 2011. With the collaboration of these institutions to which Turkish Wind Energy Association is also a member, it was targeted to draw attention to the importance of Wind Energy on a specific day by celebrating it for the first time in Turkey by ICCI 2011. On the other hand, information was given on renewable and clean energy in the activities organized all over the world.

Global Wind Day activities was examined on June 16-17 2011 within the scope of ICCI 2011 Organization, during the conferences titled “Renewable Energy-Wind 1 & 2” and the developments regarding renewable and clean energy were shared with professional visitors.
